“Intro” Classes

…are designed to be fun, safe, self-contained, and rewarding: you will walk out with a project you make.

This is blacksmithing and you will be hammering a lot. That said, bronze projects require softer hammering, steel needs it harder. 🌶️

“Intermediate” Classes

…are designed to look intimidating but be achievable for all skill levels. These classes are excellent for advancing towards Blacksmith Certification. It is recommended to take an “Intro” class but you do not have to.

If you have blacksmithing experience and want to jump back in at Clay and Steel, read “How to attend a Safety Lecture.”

CBA Classes and Guest Instructors

California Blacksmith Association Classes are for people who want to build the skills needed to become a blacksmith. Classes are geared toward certification through the CBA

Celeste is working on classes to help you forge natural shapes, fantasy shapes and sculpt metal like an artist. Guest demonstrators and special classes will also be listed here.

Celeste is certified to teach the Level 1 CBA Curriculum (ages 14+). CBA Curriculum students are gifted membership to the CBA meaning they can join in at “Hammer-in” and “Conference” events with other blacksmiths!
