“Three Reasons to Choose Clay and Steel for your First Metal Smooshing Experience”

Reason One

Time tested courses. Celeste has been teaching classes for over a decade She has refined these classes in order to teach the skills most key to a blacksmith’s skill set. You will become a better blacksmith.

Reason the Second

We have hosted all kinds of humans in this smithy: short, tall, young and old. Our only requirements are that you have at least one hand and can see things in front of you.* We absolutely can accommodate disabilities and most assistive equipment.

For assistive equipment, please call or message if you think it wise: our smithy is small but mighty, like Celeste herself. *If blind or amputee students would like to suggest how we can accommodate you, please reach out.

Third

Our blacksmiths are all employed, professional smiths, but they weren’t born that way. Every instructor teaching you had the same sorts of struggles with hammer control or tongs positioning you may have. We know how best to assist, and you can rely on our teaching skills to get you through.

Craft a Custom Bronze Bracelet in Our First-Time Blacksmith Project! Spice Level 🌶️ 1/6

Are you curious about blacksmithing and ready to try your hand at something new? This class is perfect for beginners, offering an introduction to the craft with a focus on creating a beautiful, personalized piece. While there’s a bit of a challenge in managing the heat when working with bronze (it can melt if you’re not careful!), the project itself is simple, and bronze is much softer to forge than iron.

Under the expert guidance of Celeste Flores, you’ll learn essential safety practices and basic techniques for forging copper and bronze. In this hands-on session, you’ll have the opportunity to create your very own copper and silicon bronze bracelets, complete with personalized stamping on the inside. Celeste will also demonstrate how to polish the edges of your bracelet, adding a professional touch to your custom creation.
