Feb 8th - Forge a Steel Rose
Saturday February 8th (10am - 2pm )
Spice Level 🌶️🌶️
Forge a Romantic Steel Rose: Perfect for Valentine’s Day!
Join us at Seaport Studios to create a dark rose that will never wilt. This beginner-friendly workshop introduces you to basic blacksmithing techniques while guiding you through the process of forging a rose out of hot steel—a striking project perfect for Valentine’s Day.
Steel roses offer a unique opportunity to practice essential skills like hammer control, curving , and texturing, all while crafting a stunning piece of art. The final result is a bold, darkly beautiful rose with a dramatic edge—perfect for those who love a touch of the unconventional in their gifts.
We will be sharing anvils in this class. Two people will be assigned to each anvil and students will take turns using their anvils.
Blacksmithing is a hot labor intensive activity. Just like any other exercise activity you should be in good physical condition to participate and/or should consult with a doctor.
Please wear all natural fibers such as cotton, leather, or wool. Please do not wear shorts, opened toed shoes or synthetic fibers such as polyester, nylon or spandex.
Youth age 16 and up permitted with an adult. The Crucible or Tracker’s Bay are recommended for youth classes.
Five student per class maximum. A minimum of two students is needed for the class to run. Any cancellations will be announced 3 days before class and students will be offered a full refund. If you need to cancel, please do so ASAP as I am a individually run small business. Refunds are difficult for cash flow so please be mindful when asking for refunds and booking your class. Thanks so much!
