May 11th - Forge a RR Spike Knife-First Time Blacksmiths Welcome

$200.00

10am - 5pm This is A First Time Blacksmith Class- Level 1

The Railroad spike knife is a difficult project for a beginner. However if you feel you have reasonable strength and physical capabilities we can ensure you complete your knife in this class. If you want to jump in, work intensely and be able to say, you forged a blade, this is a great class for you. If you want to learn the skills of a blacksmith in more depth, take one of the other first time blacksmith classes

Teacher: Celeste Flores

Join us at Seaport Studios to create a decorative railroad spike knife. Students will learn safety plus basic blacksmithing techniques such as hammer control, tapering and beveling and twisting. You will have the opportunity to create a railroad spike knife that we will put an edge on.
